1972 Drafted into US Army, except for Basic Training which was an interesting experience in behavior modification, I was stationed at RCPAC - Reserve Component Personnel Administrative Center, US ARMY Records Center in St. Louis Mo. The record Center is a civilian installation with a military administration. During this time I also attended Washington University, St Louis MO, where in 1973 I received a BS in Sociology.

I was admitted to the Ohio State PhD program in Political Science in 1973 and graduated in 1977. 1977-1978 Battelle Memorial Institute Social Science Research fellow 1978-80 Ohio Department of Economic Development, Office Of Research 1980 Director of Data User Center, Joint Venture between State of Ohio and US Bureau of Census 1983 to present, Center for Public Policy, Brown University ...Director of Research
